The young Russian soprano attended the Yaroslavskiy Musical College L.V. Sobinov and studied singing at the renowned Russian Musical Academy Gnessin. She also trained in acting and dance. She also attended masterclasses with Ramón de Andrés, Ludmilla Magomedova, Krassimira Stoyanova and Christa Ludwig, among others.
From 2017 to 2019, Alyona Rostovskaya gained her first stage experience as Tatyana/“Eugene Onegin“, Contessa/“Nozze di Figaro“, Pamina/“Magic Flute“, „Iolantha“ and Mimi/“Boheme“ at the Gnessin Opera Studio.
In 2018, she took part in the Salzburg Festival’s Young Singers‘ Project.
In the 2020/21 season, she was a member of the ensemble at the Volkstheater Rostock. She made her successful debut as Female Chorus/“Rape of Lucretia“ and Füchslein Schlaukopf/“Cunning little Vixen” (stage director: Vera Nemirova).
In summer 2021 she took over Mimi/“Bohème“ at the Eutin Festival.
From 2021-2023 she was in the ensemble of Theater Heidelberg – Governess/“Turn of the Screw“, Giuletta/“Capuleti e Montecchi“, „Rusalka“ and ‚Antonia’/“Contes d’Hoffmann“.
In concert, she has performed with Theodor Currentzis and the SWR Symphony Orchestra and the Norddeutsche Philharmonie Rostock under Marcus Bosch, among others.
She has been a member of the ensemble at the Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden since the 2023/24 season. There she appeared as Contessa/“Nozze“, Glawari/“Merry Widow“, as well as in new productions as Pamina, Agathe and Alice Ford. She has also given recitals of lieder and arias and sang the soprano part in Beethoven’s 9th Symphony.
