The young Russian soprano Antonina Vesenina studied with Natalia Savitskaya at the Music school at her hometown Voronezh and attended various masterclasses with Elena Obraztsova and Larisa Gergieva. Antonina Vesenina won several national and international competitions e.g. the ‘Nadezhda Obukhova Russian National Competition for Young Vocalists’ and the ‘International Maxim Mikhailov Young Opera Singers’ Competition’.

From 2010 until 2011 she was a principal at the St. Petersburg Chamber Opera and sang there e.g. ‚Gilda‘/“Rigoletto“, ‚Genovieffa‘/“Suor Angelica“ and ‘Lucia‘/“The Rape of Lucretia“.

Since 2011 she has been a member of the Mariinsky Academy of Young Opera Singers at the Mariinsky Theater in Sankt Petersburg. Her repertoire includes roles like ‚Marfa‘/“Die Zarenbraut“, ‚Rosina‘/“Il barbiere di Siviglia“, ‚Zerbinetta‘/“Ariadne auf Naxos“, ‚Olympia‘/“ Les Contes d’Hoffmann“, ‚Oscar‘/“Un ballo in maschera“, ‚Queen of the night‘/“Die Zauberflöte“, ‚Lucia‘/“Lucia di Lammermoor“, ‚Fiakermilli‘/“Arabella“ and ‚Leila‘/“Les pêcheurs de perles“.

Guest engagements led her e.g. as ‚Queen of the night‘ as well as ‘Queen of Shemakha’/“The Golden Cockerel “ to the Deutsche Oper am Rhein. She gave various concerts in Great Britain, Italy, Austria, France and Spain.

In the season 2018/19 Antonina Vesenina gave her debut at the Semperoper Dresden as ‘Queen of the night’. Future projects include her debuts both at Hamburg Opera as well as at the Deutsche Oper Berlin as ‘Queen of the night’.
