The soprano Mara Guseynova, winner of international competitions in Estonia, Latvia, Russia and Austria, was born in Baku in 1998. Already during her studies in Azerbaijan, she repeatedly performed with the State Chamber State Chamber Orchestra and the Youth Symphony Orchestra. She first graduated from music school in her home country and was subsequently as a doctoral student in the class of Prof. Uta Schwabe at the Music and Arts Private University of the City of Vienna (MUK). In 2022 she successfully completed the master’s degree program in solo singing.

At the invitation of the Sacramento Youth Symphony, she performed in Sacramento in November 2017 under the musical Mustafa Mehmandarov and returned in 2018 for several concerts to Sacramento and Los Angeles. In 2019 she gave a concert in Bratislava, also sang the soprano part in J.M. Haydn’s „Requiem in C minor“ and was involved as Maria in the production of Gluck’s „L’ivrogne corrigé“. Previously, she appeared as Rezia in Gluck’s „La rencontre imprévue“ on the stage of the MUK.

Since the 2022/23 season, Mara Guseynova has been a member of the Opera Studio of the Deutsche Oper am Rhein, where she has performed as Marie (Korngold „Die tote Stadt“), PapagenaPapagena (Mozart „The Magic Flute“), Taumännchen (Humperdinck „Hansel and Gretel“), Angel (Tchaikovsky „The Maid of Orléans“), Iwein’s Heart (Eggert „Iwein Löwenritter“), Voce dal cielo (Verdi „Don Carlo“) and Kammerfrau der Lady Macbeth (Verdi „Macbeth“) on stage.
In 2023/24 she performed as vocal soloist in Demis Volpi’s ballet evening „Krabat“, Chava (Bock „Anatevka“) as well as as Clorinda (Rossini „La Cenerentola“), Blumenmädchen 1 (Wagner „Parsifal“) and Engel (Tchaikovsky „Die Maid of Orléans“).
